Drilling Contractor

We are operating two different drills, to cover different requirements. A 4 metre Pottinger power harrow/drill combination will work on either ploughed land or in a min till situation. It is hydraulic folding for quick and easy movements between fields, and has a large hopper mounted on the front of the tractor, thus spreading the overall weight. The drill is fitted with disc coulters, press rollers behind the coulters, and a following tine harrow.

We also have a 4.8 metre Kuhn Megant tine drill that is ideally suited to working in a min till situation, but can also work on ploughed land that has been partially prepared. Both drills are fitted with tramline kits and pre-em markers and can be operated with GPS if required.

Square Baling Contractor

We are now operating one large square baler. A Massey Ferguson 2170XD which produces very dense bales 120 cm x 90 cm, Suitable for baling straw, Haylage, silage, haylage and hay with a high daily output. They are ideal for loading on to lorries or trailers, maximising the carrying capacity of each. A rapid way of clearing fields ready for stubble operation.

Round Baling/Wrapping Contractor

For the upcoming season we are again running the McHale Fusion 3 combination baler / wrapper. This machine is a fixed chamber roller baler producing bales of 1.25m (4 feet) diameter. It has a 23 knife chopper unit, although for most purposes not all knives will be necessary. Capable of producing bales over 700KG; they are perfect for stacking and maintain bale shape throughout winter. If required additive can be applied using an on-board dispenser. It can also put film on film, using film instead of netwrap, providing silage bales with extra protection, and also allowing bale wrap disposal simpler.

An integrated wrapper unit is included in the machine to allow one man to carry out both jobs at the same time. This means that the wrapping is carried out within seconds of the bale being formed and ensures excellent forage quality. If required, baling can be carried out on its own for hay and straw, or where silage is wrapped back at the farm.

Hedgecutting Contractor

We offer flail hedge cutting with a McConnel 6565T machine, which has a 6.5 metre reach, and is fitted with a 1.5 metre head, suitable for annual maintenance, and will also tackle bigger, more overgrown material.

Subsoiling/Stubble Cultivation Contractor

We have a 2.5 metre Sumo Trio, with hydraulic break back leg protection.

Ploughing Contractor

Kuhn Multi Master 122 5 furrow reversible plough.

Lemken Opal 6 furrow reversible plough.

Muckspreading Contractor

Richard Western 12 tonne rear discharge muck spreader is perfect for spreading all types of solid and semi solid muck. We have also spread compost for customers with ease.

Carting/Haulage Contractor

Whether it be Grain, Bales, or Muck we are able to offer a carting service to suit.

For grain we have 10 tonne, 11 tonne, and 16 tonne trailers perfect for hauling straight behind a combine.

For bales we have 2 trailers, a 27 foot and a 32 foot meaning straw can be shifted with ease from field to farm.

And for muck a 10t trailer able to shift FYM, compost, wood chippings and slurry.

All 3 operations are on offer with just a tractor or with the tractor/loader option.

Tractor Supplier

Our tractors consist of a New Holland T7.270, A Case 215 CVX, and also a John Deere 6830 complete with Chilton T12 loader. The New Holland and Case are both fitted with GPS, and all three tractors are equipped with front linkage. The New Holland boosts up to 270hp, The Case 240hp, and the John Deere up to 140hp.

The 6830 / Chilton combination is capable of carrying out all types of loader work with a variety of attachments such as a bale squeeze for wrapped round or square bales, a large bale spike for unwrapped round or square bales, a large muck grab, pallet forks or bucket.

Fertiliser Spreading Contractor

We have a Reco Econov X40+ fertiliser spreader, capable of spread widths up to 36 metres. This is fitted with weigh cells and section control which combined with the gps on the tractor gives precision application of a wide range of products over all crops and grassland.
